Do you long to step into a charming boutique in France? But not sure when you will get a chance to go there? Get transported to another world, to France to be specific, just by stepping into this charming Parisian style boutique, right here in Los Gatos, California.

Called Bianco, this is the type of shop that I dreamt of owning one day, but didn’t know that it already existed right here in Los Gatos until I stumbled upon it while grabbing lunch at a cafe near the store. Bianco is a shop of dreams for people like me who love everything beautiful, organic, sophisticated, and natural. This lovely boutique is a feast for the eyes and the senses.

With terracotta potted plants flanking the entrance to the boutique that are brimming with lavenders and herbs, and rustic hooks hanging with dried lavender wreaths and straw hats, this shop sets a Parisian stage even before you enter the store. Beautifully decorated with French country inspired decor, you will feel like you have been transported to the beautiful French countryside.

Divided into two areas, Bianco encourages you to meander through their first room which has rustic tables elegantly displaying home goods, garden accessories and house wares that lead you towards the second part of the store where you can find vintage style clothing, jewelry, shoes, sandals, handbags, and more exquisite pieces for the home.

Lovely organic shelves showcase everything from beautifully etched vintage style wine glasses, water goblets, drinking glasses, to cordial glasses.  Looking for some sophisticated and elegant dinnerware? You will find it here.

Looking for one of a kind throw made of pure Alpaca wool? You will find it here. Want an extra special and unique floral bouquet for a dinner you are attending? You will find it here. Looking for luxury candles made by French ateliers and boutique candles from Italy and New York to name a few, you will find it here. Shelves spill over with soft linens, luxury bath products, eye catching coffee table books, and so much more. Everything in the store is enticing and beautiful and presented nestled in straw and twigs strewn here and there, bringing the happiness of nature indoors in this charming boutique.

What makes Bianco a store like no other and purely Parisian is their attention to packaging. Their one of a kind beautiful packaging is what makes us smile and want to bring something home from this store no matter how small or big the item may be. I have been fortunate enough to receive a few gifts from Bianco and many times I have not opened the present for days, just so I could enjoy the gorgeous wrapping for a few days longer.

Bianco is a boutique worth making a trip to Los Gatos for. It’s on N. Santa Cruz Avenue and right next to Enoteca La Storia, an Italian cafe and wine bar. Stop by Bianco and pick up something indulgent for yourself or a friend, and then stop by Enoteca for a glass of wine, some cheese, and a Panini or salad. Make it an afternoon excursion in Los Gatos. Stroll by Main St with its boutiques, shops, cafes, restaurants, and movie theater. Pop over to charming Old Town with their beautiful landscaping overflowing with roses, geraniums, and flowers, along with their flagship stores such as Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Papyrus, Chicos, White House Black Market, and SurlaTable to name a few. There is plenty here to keep you engaged and happy, and will definitely make for a fun afternoon. If you stop by Los Gatos on a Sunday morning, you can even stroll by the local Farmer’s Market and grab a few vegetables and fruits.
