March Garden Pics

With the warm temperatures popping up off and on, the garden started bursting into bloom early. Here is a look at my garden in March.

March has been an interesting month for us here in the Bay Area.  The temperatures dipped down into the 40s and 50s, then we got a bunch of rain, then temperatures fluctuated back up into the 60s, 70s and even 80s. Back and forth the weather went all month.

Freesias continued their blooming show. Rose plants leafed out with some of them already full of buds. Geraniums, oxalis, ixia, daffodils, cyclamen, pink jasmine, even a tulip or two all full of leaves, buds, and flowers.

Here are a few pictures of my March garden ready for a stellar spring show.

Geraniums. All my geraniums have been doing great this winter and early spring. Pelargonium, scented geraniums, ivy geraniums, variegated geraniums, and cranesbills, have all been super happy and healthy the last few months.

    1. Thank you, at this time of year my eyes go crazy with all the flowers and bushes and trees in bloom! Yes, we are fortunate to have our little owl in our garden!! He has been with us for over 6 year!

  1. You are absolutely right Hitesh! Proof is in the pudding! Beautiful garden! And you have a wise Owl watching over your garden!
    God bless you all!

  2. Beautiful photos and a lovely garden. We used to visit Monterey every February, and sometimes wandered up into the Alexander River/Russian River area for a couple of weeks. Seeing a bit of green in midwinter helped me keep my sanity! Always loved the bright yellow mustard in the fields and vineyards.
