April Garden Pics

April was a perfect spring like month for us here in the Bay Area. Warm temperatures in the 60s, 70s, and even 80s meant that the garden was waking up and starting to put on its stellar floral show.  However cooler temperatures in the 50s and some 40s meant that the garden wasn’t fully awake yet. Looking at theses garden pics one may wonder “Your garden looks pretty fully in bloom right now.”  To this my response would be “Wait till May when the entire garden is in full bloom!”  Here is a look at what started blooming in my April Bay Area garden.

Azaleas and Camellias

Hope you had an awesome April.   Looking forward to a marvelous May!

Countdown to Mother’s Day!  Sunday, May 13th

May is one of my favorite months. The garden puts on a spectacular show and May is also the month when we celebrate Mother’s Day. This year Mother’s Day is on Sunday, May 13th. In honor of one of my favorite celebrations I will be doing my second year of Countdown to Mother’s Day with a share a day with ideas for colorful, delicious and beautiful desserts, drinks and savory dishes, along with a couple of book reviews that I hope any Mom will like.

      1. I suppose they are happier in your neighborhood than in the slightly milder climate in town. That probably extends their bloom. They do that at the farm too, but not at my former home garden in town. In that area, they bloomed nicely, but quickly. Now I will need to watch to see if any of ours last through May.

  1. They are gorgeous, all of your flowers. What a happy garden you have. I actually went out to my garden to snap some flower photos, before the heat start messing with them.

    1. Thank you. I do love flowers and color and I have to mention that this yaear the garden is very happy because of our mild cool sunny weather. Flowers definitely dont like the heat.

      1. It’s obvious that you both love it, and know how to keep your flowers happy 🙂 I know for sure that there’s a lot of work to keep a garden as beautiful as yours.

    1. Thanks Rose! The garden is definitely loving this cool and sunny spring weather. I don’t know where to look and what to take photos of, so much color in bloom right now!!! 🌸🌼💐🌺🌹
