Twins 18th Birthday Celebration

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? I trust it was relaxing and enjoyable?  For us we had a busy Saturday and a relaxing Sunday.  On Saturday we had a birthday party for our twin girls who turned 18 last week.

An old fashioned birthday party at home

The grils celebrated with their school friends in their own unique ways, but given that this is the last year they will be home for their birthday at least for the next four years, as they are heading off to college, I wanted to have a festive celebration at home the old-fashioned way – with cakes and candles, family and close friends. You know what I mean?  Like in the old days wehn we used to get together at home with family and friends to hang out, chat and laugh and have cake together.  That’s the kind of celebration I wanted – I think maybe more for myself than for the kids?

Honestly though, there is something warm and heartfelt about an old-fashioned birthday party at home. Here is a look at the twins 18th birthday celebration with family and close friends.

One candle just wouldn’t go out! Rani must have tried 10 times to blow that one out 😀🎂.  But in actuality that one candle kept coming back on 😀

  1. Hanging out with my friends has always been one of my best experiences. Every day, before I started working, my friends and I always tried to do something insane, fun or innovative. If I have learned something from hanging out with my friends it would be that they help you move on after all the tragic scenes in your life. your site has been really helpful and useful to me, and I hope to get more next time. are you looking for a nice site as good as this one to get good information? With this link, you can gain access to splendid content and a nice site where you would find information that would be useful to you.

  2. Thank you for your b’day wishes and for sharing that insightful twin story 😊. I think the most I’ve learnt from raising twins is their desire beyond anything else to be unique and different and for others to treat them as individuals rather than duets. Hitesh and I once we realized that at their young ages, we have gone out of our way to make sure each twin got to pursue their own interests and have their own friends. Thank you again for sharing your stories.

  3. You are welcome! Anjali and Rani are my daughters too. Especially since I’ve seen them from birth. Such a great transformation – babies to young adults . So well poised, kind, caring and confident young ladies. Like I said earlier, you and Hitesh have done a fantastic job!
So happy to be part of this milestone celebration- you’re right – maybe the last one with them. But that’s okay too. We’ll have different occasions to celebrate with them.
Rani actually personally thanked me for the kachoris which was a wonderful gesture. We all had such a nice time catching up with you all.
Thanks for the delicious dinner and the aromatic flower arrangement. Love it 💕
Try and relax today and will talk to you soon

    1. Thank you for you very kind words about the twins Nishma. It truly is the best compliment any parent can get- you know how it is, that is our job to raise our kids to be good responsible kind and loving adults. As you also know its a tough job in this day and age, so your words mean the world to me!! Thank you! And Thank you all for coming and for also bringing the kachoris.

  4. We enjoyed it too 😀
Thanks for inviting and glad we could all meet especially
We do not know where the twins will go to school next year.
    That pic 😍
I saw it earlier but was running to work so was planning to respond later
Thanks for the wonderful flower arrangement and the food was yummy 😋

    1. Hi Swati, thank you all for coming to celebrate the girls birthday on Saturday. We all had such a good time! It has been so long since we all got together that it was nice and relaxing. Thank you for bringing the bread, it’s always a hit! Have a wonderful week.

Sridevi was missing in the pictures?????Love them and love the way you celebrated their special day. My heartfelt love and affections to you all.

    1. Great to hear from you Uma Chithi! Thank you for your b’day wishes. A very Happy Birthday to you !! Sridevi celebrated with the twins on their birthday last week and had already made plans on the day of their party so couldn’t be here.

  7. On another note . your Mom celebrated dhruv’s Birthday when he and deepi stayed with u guys in Houston. I recall Raji made an elaborate Tamil Feast complete with Vadai and Payasam . It was attended by Near and dear including Thanga and family . The Cake was the icing on the Cske … funny Pun … Mom made it from her London Cooking Lessons. I have the photo of Mom and Rukku Patti cheering Dhruv when he blew the Candles … Yes Dolly memories of those days are rushing back .

  8. Wishing dear Rani A very Happy 18 th Birthday and dear Anjali A very Happy Birthday . I really liked the Idea that you made Two Separate Cakes for the twins . I was traveling with Twin Boys once on an International Flight and one of thevTwins shared many secrets with me . He said he hated it because his mom always dressed him and his Brother Alike . He further added that his mom pursue the same hobbies .. he said I wanted to Play Cricket but mom enrolled me in Learning Soccer . His final Pet Peeve was “ Auntie! we are twins and we did share the sacred Space in Mom’s womb but Now we are individuals in our Own right and everyone should honor our individuality .” Yes Dolly I have watched Anjali and Rani grow and love their diferent Persona . Best wishes to Rani and Anjali going forward !!!!!!
