Mixed daal is one of my favorite lentil dishes that I learnt from my Mom. I’ve been making it the same way she taught me for decades. As much as I love this dish, it always amazes me how every time I make it for a dinner party all guests love it just as much.
Green beans and potatoes are great together in this Indian stir fry dish. Super healthy and low fat, saute with just three spices and cook the veggies until tender. The result is a delicious veggi stir fry that goes well with a warm bowl of daal and rice.

I had this delicious eggplant dish when we were in Santa Cruz a couple of weeks ago and I’m not a huge fan of eggplant. However when it’s made right I love this vegetable. This curry is one such dish.
Soft creamy lentils cooked with radish and spices make a deliciously warm bowl of daal. All this lentil soup has is cumin, turmeric and asafetida. Served over fluffy white rice this radish daal is comfort food at it’s best.
