It’s Pouring Lemons

It’s citrus season here. What that means is hundreds and hundreds of lemons for the picking. At this time last year my friend Elaine gave me over 200 lemons and I made bottles and bottles of lemonade syrup that lasted for month and months. The kids and I had delicious lemonade whenever we wanted without any squeezing and stirring sugar and lemon juice. All we did was pour our lemonade syrup in a glass then add water or sparkling mineral water and voila! We had sweet lemonade in an instant.

We even made strawberry lemonade and blackberry lemonade syrups. 🍓

When we finally ran out of our lemonade syrup the kids asked me when is my friend Elaine going to give us more lemons? They wanted to make more lemonade syrup.

Well, Elaine just texted me last week and said she had picked tons of lemons if I was interested. Are you kidding Elaine? We love your lemons! They are sweet juicy lemons. I promptly stopped by and picked up 6 bags!!! 🍋🍋 🍋🍋🍋🍋

Last year Elaine gave over 275 lemons. This year she out numbered last year’s lemon bounty. Can you guess how many lemons I got this year? I know it’s hard to tell from just looking at the photos. I got over 500 lemons this year! CRAZY! Right? 🍋🍋 🍋🍋🍋🍋

I had so many lemons that I shared a few with family and friends.

Elaine also gave me a bag of tangerines called Murcott tangerines 🍊🍊 😋. I’ll be making a delectable orange cardamom tea cake with a few of these oranges.

A very special thank you to my friend Elaine for her bounty of delicious lemons. 🍋🍋 🍋🍋🍋🍋
