Triana Square & Ceramics in Sevilla, Spain

Across the bridge from the main city of Seville on the west bank of the Guadalquivir River sits the charming neighborhood of Triana.

This off the beaten path area is a discovery of our daughter Rani while she was researching places to see in Sevilla. What a cool find Triana turned out to be, as Triana is the most picturesque neighborhood in Sevilla.

Triana Square

This beautiful little area with lovely architecture is a delight to explore.  Since all of the main attractions or on the main downtown area of Seville this often overlooked neighborhood stays quiet most of the time with very few tourists. For us it was a great way to start our holiday in the charming city of Seville.

A beautiful quiet neighborhood.

Triana is quieter than most areas we visited but is definitely worth taking a look.  Here one can take a leisurely walk and explore the local scenery.  In Triana the streets and alleyways look like they belong in postcards and paintings!

The ceramics district.

One of the key areas in Triana is the quaint ceramics district.  Here pottery and ceramic shops line the streets selling locally made pottery made right here in Triana.  The charm of this area is the beautiful tile artwork that can be found on street signs and on buildings.

Ceramic shops for all the ceramics and pottery aficionados.

Quaint streets and alleyways

Quaint streets and alleyways make it a delight to explore the unique architecture in this beautiful neighborhood.

The colors, the tiles, the metal work, and colorful architecture

With a mix of so many elegant architectural elements from beautiful balconies to colorful doors, to ornate windows and stucco, Triana was a dream to photograph.

This is for the garden lovers 💐

Garden lovers, you will love these pictures.  Strolling the alleys of Triana Rani excitedly shows me a little garden in a small courtyard in an apartment building.  What a find!

The Riverbank

Restaurants line the riverbank in Triana providing local cuisine in a beautiful setting.

I celebrated my birthday at a lovely restaurant here 🎂. It was a perfect romantic evening in Sevilla.
