Homemade Corsages and the Twins Junior Prom

Last Saturday was the twins Junior prom and what a day it was! Gowns were chosen, nails were done, hair styled, makeup on, jewelry worn, shoes on, only thing left was to eat, which they quickly grabbed a snack, just in time to take pictures at sun down. Hectic, crazy, exhausting though it was, the day ended up with a fun-filled evening of girls, gowns and guys all ready for a night out to celebrate being Juniors and Seniors in High School.

Corsages

As tradition goes, on prom night, the girl usually gets a corsage from the guy she is going to the prom with. But this is 2019 we are talking about, and who says only a guy can tie the corsage on a girl? These days girls and guys are going in big friends group with dates and without dates, and all girls are wearing corsages in the spirit of prom night.

So that’s how Rani ended up making corsages on the day of prom. Her friends asked if she would make corsages to tie on each other’s hands, and what better way to make it unique then to have it be handmade by one of your friends?  Rani stepped up to make these all-natural corsages and so began an interesting and creative floral project for four corsages and one boutonniere. Lucky for her, my garden was in the beginnings of a springtime bloom and she had plenty of flowers and sprigs to choose from!
