Happy Friday! How was your week? Good? Ready for the weekend? Looking for something fun to do this upcoming weekend? How about heading to an art fair or an art museum? For us, being so close to wine country, we headed to Sonoma recently and did an art themed wine tasting weekend.
Art and Wine
We headed to Sonoma for the weekend and I must admit I’ve been to Sonoma wine country many times, and wanted to try a couple wineries that I haven’t frequented before. This time I seeked out wineries with an art theme and found two very interesting wineries. Imagery Estate Winery and Donum Estate.
We made it to Imagery but had to cancel our Donum Estate reservation as I had miscalculated the distance and it was a solid one hour from our hotel. Nonetheless let me share with you some info about these two unique wineries in Sonoma.
Donum Estate
Donum Estate is a winery known for their outdoor sculpture art pieces which are displayed on their 200-acre property. Art is curated from all over the world with visitors coming to view the sculptures and taste their wine.
Reservations at this winery can be made exclusively to view their art, combine it with wine tasting, or just do their wine tasting. So if you’re looking for something different to do in Sonoma Wine Country check this estate out.
Imagery Winery is one that we did make it out to. What caught my attention with this winery is that their labels are all created by artists from all over the globe.
Here’s how the artistic wine labels work
Artists from all parts of the world can submit their art to be placed as a wine bottle label. The artist has to submit their art with a specific type of wine they want their art to be seen on. If their art is selected and put on the wine bottles, guess what they get in return? A couple cases of wine from Imagery 🍷😄

The wine at Imagery is good too. A sit down experience where you can sip and relax, or stroll with wine in hand the two galleries that display paintings used on their wine labels.
