I’ve been making this lemony sweet mustard vinaigrette a lot lately especially as fresh lemons are in abundance in our area right now. The combination of fresh lemon juice and honey is always a winner for a fresh tasting salad dressing, but add a little mustard and you get a vinegary spiciness that adds another layer of flavor that is delicious.
This is an awesome go-to dressing when you are out of vinegar and need to make a vinaigrette right away. For a fresh tasting salad dressing with a touch of sweetness and a spicy mustardy flavor give this vinaigrette a try.
Lemon Honey Mustard Vinaigrette
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp mustard
- Salt and pepper
Directions:
- Squeeze lemon juice into a bowl. Add the honey and mustard and whisk until well blended.
- Next add the olive oil, salt and pepper and continue whisking until the dressing is smooth. Dressing is ready.
- Toss over your favorite salad.
