Continuing to share my travels from the last few months, today I’d like to share with you pics from our three day visit to Indian Wells to see the BNP Paribas Tennis tournament.

We went for a quick weekend trip to watch both the women’s and men’s semifinals and final matches which are played on Saturday and Sunday in March. Indian Wells is a neighboring town to Palm Springs. In March the weather is cool, pleasant and gorgeous.

Ran into my sister and brother-in-law from Michigan!

Talk about totally surprised to see my sister and her husband at the swag store at the tournament! We hadn’t spoken in a few weeks and we had no idea that both of us were going to be attending the tennis match the exact same weekend! In both our cases it was a last minute decision to go. It was crazy when we ran into each other! Talk about surprised!! For a brief moment when my sister gave me a hug I was so caught off guard that I was thinking “Who is this stranger giving me a hug.” LOL!

It was absolutely wonderful to see family unexpectedly! After the matches we hung out and chatted for hours and hours!

Dinner in the court

In the evening Hitesh and I attended a dinner hosted in one of the courts at the stadium. They had done a beautiful job of transforming a tennis court into a lovely dinner setting.

There was even a computer program that took a picture of the attendees and turned us into a beautiful caricature. I thing the computer program was generous and made us look even better than we looked haha.

That’s a look at our quick getaway to Indian Wells, California to watch the BNP Peribas Tennis Finals. I must admit we had a better time than what we were expecting 🥰.
