This recipe uses dark chocolate so we can eat our chocolate and feel good about it too đ.Â
Dark Chocolate Orange Truffles
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb Dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 tbsp Orange liqueur
- 2 tbsp orange flesh finely chopped
- 2 tbsp orange zest for garnish
- 1 tsp cocoa powder for dusting

Directions:
Chop dark chocolate into small pieces and place in a microwave safe bowl. Add the whipping cream and orange liqueur and stir. Place in microwave and melt the chocolate in 20-second increments, stirring after each 20 seconds until the chocolate is completely melted and creamy.

Add the orange flesh and mix into the melted chocolate. Â Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 2 hours until it becomes semi hard.

After two hours take the bowl out and using a tablespoon scoop out small balls and roll in the hand into little truffles.

Garnish truffles with orange zest and dust with cocoa powder.

Place the truffles back in the refrigerator for 30 minutes for the truffles to harden.

After 30 minutes take truffles out of refrigerator and it’s ready to eat!

Truffles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
