Happy Saturday! I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to a relaxing weekend! I must admit I’ve been missing from blogging most of the this year until lately. It’s been a combination of things. I’ve been traveling the last few months, and when I’m home I’ve been lazy and have had no urge to do anything, not even exercise, which is not good 😞. Now with spring in full swing it feels like the start of a new year. I’ve got spring in my step and new found energy 😄! And that includes back to blogging about all things fun, beautiful and travel.

Please indulge me as I backtrack and share my travel logs that I’ve done since the start of the year.
From four cities in India, to visiting Berlin, Germany, to Paris, France; and local trips to Palm Springs and Sonoma Wine Country. It’s been quite a fun ride. Let me start my travel journals with my latest trip in April to Paris, France.

Celebrating my eldest daughter’s April birthday
We celebrated a big milestone birthday in April. Since my eldest daughter was already in Europe for work, she made a trip to Paris to celebrate her birthday, and the entire family joined in the celebration.

No touristy plans on this trip. It was mostly exploring the beautiful neighborhoods of Paris.

Made it to the top of the Eiffel Tower!
Can you believe that as many time as I’ve been to Paris I’ve never made it to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Though the kids were more keen on exploring the streets of Paris, the parents did sneak in a couple of tourist sites like making it to the top of the Eiffel Tower! Thanks to Vijay for pushing us to wake up early to get tickets to the top 😁.

Walking along the river on a cool April morning
We walked on the banks of the river on our way to the Eiffel tower early in the morning, and were rewarded with tickets and spectacular views of Paris from the top!

Made it to the top!

Beautiful aerial views of Paris

Met up with daughter Rani at the base of the Tower

Strolled the artsy neighborhood of Montmartre 🧑🏻🎨🎨.
Montmartre is an artsy neighborhood with cobblestoned streets, and charming cafes and shops. Its claim to fame is that many famed artists like Picasso, Monet, and Dega lived and painted in this neighborhood.

The main attraction here is the Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur at the top of the hill from where you can see the city of Paris.

Montmartre is a fun area to explore, stroll and grab a bite to eat.
Along the way check out street artists and painters selling their artwork 🧑🏻🎨🎨. For a change from the streets of Paris head to Montmartre for a nostalgic stroll of a bygone era.

That’s a quick look at our April in Paris.

Wishing you a fabulous weekend!
Until my next post Au revoir!
Gorgeous! Looks like a wonderful birthday celebration for Sri with the whole family! 🎉🎂
Yes it truly was a very special birthday celebration in Paris 🎂 and we were fortunate to have some gorgeous weather as well!
