Looking for a totally unique off the beaten path museum in the heart of Paris? A museum right at the base of the Eiffel Tower? Stop by The Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac for an experience like no other in the city – a museum with no crowds, with an amazing display of international artifacts, all displayed in the most unique way. Truly this was such a delightful surprise!

Agra Fort in Agra, India

Agra Fort is a large 16th-century fortress that was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Akbar as a military base and a royal residence. It was the seat of government for a short period during Akbar’s reign of India from 1560-1571. Akbar was the grandfather of Shah Jahan who built the Taj Mahal.

Exploring Delhi, India. Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, and Chandni Chowk

We started our Indian holiday in New Delhi, the capital city of India. A bustling metropolis where the old historic Delhi and the New Delhi of businesses and tech hubs coexist in a harmony of sights and sounds. Here we visited historic buildings such as Humayun’s Tomb and the Qutub Minar, and checked out the largest street market in Delhi – Chandni Chowk.

The Shady Garden at Professorville. Old Palo Alto, California

Called Porfessorville, this beautiful tree lined neighborhood is where many professors who teach at Stanford University live in Old Palo Alto. This garden we visited was part of the Gamble Garden Spring Tour.

Today I’d like to share pics from our trip to the Big Island, Hawaii in February. I had planned this trip on a whim when I saw a news story that Mount Kilauea had erupted on the Big Island of Hawaii. I had seen this epic scene two years ago and it was magical! I wanted to experience it again.
