We attended the last of our holiday parties for the year on Sunday, before we head out for some quality time with just the five of us for a family holiday together. We went over to our friend Basanthi’s annual Christmas Party with Santa on Sunday. Yes, this party actually has a visit from Santa! Happy Hanukkah! Wishing you all a wonderful Hanukkah and Happy Holidays! Our family got to celebrate Hanukkah at our good friends Dave and Rose’s home this past weekend and had a wonderful evening with dear friends, lots of laughter, and delicious food.
How was your weekend? Attended a holiday party or two? Maybe at your friends place, with family or a company party? I hope you are enjoying this festive month of December. Our weekend was a fun and relaxing couple of days. We went to our cousin’s Meera and Mahesh’s home for our annual holiday cousins’ dinner on Saturday.

Hope you had a lovely weekend. Ours was eventful to say the least! It was our Indian festival of Diwali this past weekend and Indians all over the world were celebrating in grand style. I had planned a big party on Saturday for all my friends and family and had catered food and arranged for sweets to be baked by my friend Rose, only to find out Friday that the high wind danger in our area was going to cause power outages on Saturday evening! How was your weekend and Father’s Day? I hope you got to celebrate and appreciate all the Dad’s in your family. We had a wonderful Father’s Day, at least that’s what Hitesh (Father to my three girls) conveyed to me at the end of the day on Sunday. Hitesh got to do his chillin and relaxing during the day. I made a veggie omelette for him for brunch with savory scones and fresh fruit. After that we planted some veggie seedlings that I picked up from my friend Veena. Then he and the twins went to downtown Los Gatos to take a stroll while I stayed home to get dinner ready for our Father’s Day dinner gathering with my cousins and their families.
