Hello and happy Friday! I hope you had a good week and are ready for the weekend. Today I want to share with you an easy cocktail recipe inspired by our weekend trip to Indian Wells near Palm Springs, California to see the BNP Peribas Open Tennis Tournament last weekend.

Rained out and delayed
We went last weekend to see the women’s and men’s semifinals and finals. Guess what? On Saturday we had two rain delays, in the dessert 😉. And you know what? A crew actually come out with blowers to dry out the court! It took over an hour to get the court ready for the players to continue. It was interesting to watch.

Blood orange mimosa
Now onto this refreshing cocktail that’s easy to make and delicious. A classic mimosa has equal parts sparkling wine and orange juice. Here at the tennis venue they made their mimosa with fresh squeezed blood orange juice and sparkling wine. So delicious folks! I had two glasses 🥂.

Blood orange juice and sparkling wine 🍷🍊🍾
Traditionally mimosa is made with equal parts orange juice and sparkling wine. But here you can adjust the ratio of sparkling wine to blood orange juice to your liking. Want more juice – go for it. Want more sparkling wine – do it. This cocktail is delicious anyway you make it!

Fizzy, sweet, tangy refreshing, delicious
One of the easiest cocktails you’ll make with stupendous results, give this blood orange mimosa a try! Make sure to use chilled sparkling wine and ice cold blood orange juice for best results.

Seriously it’s so easy, this does not require a recipe ingredient list nor fancy directions.
Just add ice cold blood orange juice in a glass, then add as much or as little sparkling wine as you want. You get a delicious and refreshing cocktail in seconds. For a mocktail just substitute the sparkling wine with Sprite or 7up or club soda. Cheers 🥂🍊!

Happy Weekend Everyone 🥂!
