Friday Flowers. Late Summer Nursery Visit

It’s been a busy summer in our family with many celebrations and gatherings. And on top of that we’ve had many intense heat waves, all of which made it difficult to head to the nursery for my usual summer plant shopping 🪴🌺. Finally last week our temps cooled down into the 70s and 80s, motivating me to head out and pick up a few new plants.

Mother daughter nursery visit

My daughter Anjali is home this summer and I’m taking advantage of her time with me to do mother daughter weekday trips. Plant shopping is something Anjali enjoys as much as I do – me for flowers 🌺 , she for herbs 🌿. An outing to the nursery was a lovely way to spend time with her 💕.

Color color everywhere!

The nursery was bursting with color when we visited!

Dahlias abloom

Vibrant Impatiens in Pots

Hanging baskets overflowing with flowers

Soothing color of green 🌿

Herbs and Veggies

Our bonanza to take home 🌿🌺🪴

With all the heatwaves we had a lot of my potted plants got fried. Our nursery trip was to replace a lot of them and of course, we came home with more plants than what needed replacing LOL 😀.

Wouldn’t you like to sit on a bench with your bestie surrounded by flowers at the nursery 🥰🌺

Had to share this card that my eldest daughter Sridevi gave me some time back as it depicts how I felt after this nursery trip 🪴💐❤️ .

Happy August Everyone!
Happy weekend!
