I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to a relaxing and fun weekend. It’s citrus season around here and if you live in the Bay Area and are driving around the neighborhoods you are probably seeing lots and lots of orange and lemon trees in every other front yard dripping with hundreds of oranges, tangerines and lemons. I see so many citrus on these trees and fallen on the floor that I wish I could just pick them all up and bring them home.

How was your weekend? I hope it was relaxing. For us since the girls were home on break from school last week we headed to San Francisco for the weekend. The city was spectacular on this February weekend. With warm temps in the 60s and sunny blue skies, San Francisco couldn’t have been any more gorgeous!!! Here is a look at some pics of our lovely weekend in beautiful San Francisco. Continue reading Valentine’s Weekend in San Francisco
It’s been a gorgeous and mildly warm start to our January this week with sunny temperatures in the 50s and 60s, perfect for gardening. I’ve been out in my garden winter pruning my plants but still have a long way to go before I’m done. I’ll be busy for a while! Continue reading Friday Flowers. Pink Begonia
Happy Friday! I hope you are having a good week!
Today I would like to share a few photos I took of flowers that are still blooming and brightening up my December garden. Despite the dip in temperatures and all the stormy rain we have had recently my little kitchen patio is looking lovely as ever. Continue reading Friday Flowers. December Blooms
Happy Tuesday! How was your Thanksgiving weekend? I hope you got to relax a bit and also had a chance to do some holiday shopping. We had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend. After a festive and relaxing Thanksgiving day dinner we headed out an hour and half away to the seaside towns of Monterey and Carmel. Continue reading Weekend in Monterey & Carmel Valley Wine Trail
I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Today I would like to share these photos I took of our poplar and maple trees. I feel like this fall our trees are especially vibrant yellow in color, maybe they were this bright and gorgeous last year too, but somehow they just seem even more beautiful this year especially with the backdrop of crisp blue skies we have been having lately. In fact, I feel the camera didn’t do justice to how stunning these trees are looking right now. Happy Friday! to you all! Continue reading Friday Fall Leaves
Hope you had a good weekend and are looking forward to a fabulous week ahead. Today I would like to share another tea recipe that I recently learnt how to make from my brother’s in-laws who visited us from Dallas, Texas last week. Darshana and Yogesh came on a fall-California road trip and headed up from LA to Northern California to visit with a friend of theirs and us. It was a quick 2-day visit during which time I took them around our beautiful hilly terrain and of course showed off my garden 😊. Continue reading Mint, Cardamom Ginger Tea & A Visit from my In-laws
Watsonville, California is often associated with lush farmlands off Hwy 1 on the Pacific Coast. Here one can see miles and miles of farms growing fruits and veggies off all sorts. Strawberries, raspberries, apples, lettuce, kale, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, artichokes, tomatoes, and much more. At its core Watsonville is an agricultural community. But what is often overlooked is that being so close to the ocean, Watsonville also has miles of beautiful beaches. One of these beaches was our destination on a gorgeous fall October morning when my friends Padmini, Rose and I went on a road trip to Pajaro Dunes in Watsonville. Continue reading Walk on the Beach at Pajaro Dunes in Watsonville, California
I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Today I would love to share a few photos I took of fall color in my garden. It seems almost overnight that the leaves in my garden turned color this week. Turmeric yellow, red, orange and brown leaves abound and are piling up on the floor. As many leaves are falling and have already fallen, my trees still have plenty of leaves still waiting to drop. All the leaves won’t drop until early January! Yup, we get three solid months of falling leaves 🍂🍂🍁🍂🍁. Continue reading Friday Fall Leaves
I hope you are enjoying autumn with its changing weather and falling leaves. Here in the Bay Area we have had a roller coaster of fall weather lately, heat waves with temps in the 90s, then a cooling down to the low 50s and 40s, then back up to pleasant 70s and 80s. The weather has been unpredictable to say the least. Most mornings however our temperatures are always in the cool and pleasant 50s, perfect time to get out in nature and go on a hike, a walk or a jog. Today I would like to share some of the photos I took on a few hikes I’ve been on the last few months. Friday Foothills is what I call this series of pics. I hope you like them.
