Moss Beach Landing & Harbor Seals at Half Moon Bay, California

Good Friday to you all!  I trust you had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend.  Around here our week started off great on a happy note in the great outdoors.  After months of being stuck at home only venturing out for groceries and errands, our family played hooky earlier in the week and took the day off from work on Monday.  We snuck out for a gorgeous hike in the seaside village of Half Moon Bay. Veggie Planting on our Hill. May 2020

Good Monday to you all.  I hope you had a quiet weekend and are ready for the week ahead.  Our weekend was low-key, not much excitement to report, which is a good thing. We did a lot of gardening, planting little veggie seedlings, and went for long walks in our neighborhood, and that’s pretty much it.  Continue reading Veggie Planting on our Hill. May 2020

Friday Fruits: Meyer Lemons

Happy Friday!

Today I’d like to share with you some photos of my little lemon tree which is covered in ripe Meyer lemons ready to pick.  They look so pretty hanging bright yellow on the branches.  I read in one of the gardening magazines that you want to wait for the citrus to be ripe before they are picked as they don’t ripen once they are off the tree.  So I picked just a handful and left the rest. Happy Friday!

I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to a relaxing and fun weekend.  It’s citrus season around here and if you live in the Bay Area and are driving around the neighborhoods you are probably seeing lots and lots of orange and lemon trees in every other front yard dripping with hundreds of oranges, tangerines and lemons.  I see so many citrus on these trees and fallen on the floor that I wish I could just pick them all up and bring them home.
