Hello and a good Monday to you. How was your weekend? Relaxing? Busy? Ready for the new week? I hope you were able to take a break and rejuvenate. Our weekend was quiet, we just relaxed around the home and spent time in the garden. Our weather cooled down on Sunday so it really was a pleasant weekend to be outside. Speaking of outdoors last week Thursday two of my daughters and I went to Santa Cruz for a wonderful hike. A spectacular cliffside hike by the Pacific Ocean at Wilder Ranch State Park, two miles north of Sant Cruz. Continue reading Wilder Ranch State Park. Santa Cruz, California
Good Friday to you all! I trust you had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. Around here our week started off great on a happy note in the great outdoors. After months of being stuck at home only venturing out for groceries and errands, our family played hooky earlier in the week and took the day off from work on Monday. We snuck out for a gorgeous hike in the seaside village of Half Moon Bay. Continue reading Moss Beach Landing & Harbor Seals at Half Moon Bay, California

Watsonville, California is often associated with lush farmlands off Hwy 1 on the Pacific Coast. Here one can see miles and miles of farms growing fruits and veggies off all sorts. Strawberries, raspberries, apples, lettuce, kale, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, artichokes, tomatoes, and much more. At its core Watsonville is an agricultural community. But what is often overlooked is that being so close to the ocean, Watsonville also has miles of beautiful beaches. One of these beaches was our destination on a gorgeous fall October morning when my friends Padmini, Rose and I went on a road trip to Pajaro Dunes in Watsonville. Living here in Northern California surrounded by so much natural beauty I feel frequently we do take it all for granted. It’s always here, we can go any time, so what’s the rush? But really life takes over and making that trip to the gorgeous beaches or that beautiful fishing village or hiking on those lovely trails very often takes a back seat. Sometimes it is something as simple as my daughter Sri heading off for a company off-site at one of our local beach town venues Half Moon Bay to wake me up from my “taking all this for granted” attitude. Continue reading A Company Sales Meeting in Half Moon Bay, California
We are so fortunate to be living so close to our favorite beach town of Santa Cruz, California; just a 20-minute drive on Hwy 17 over the Santa Cruz Mountains. Santa Cruz has everything a beach town should have and more. First and foremost are what everyone goes to Santa Cruz for – the beaches. Continue reading An Afternoon in Santa Cruz, California
It was a warm sunny weekend when we went to San Francisco in the end of February and our plan was to relax at Fort Baker, grab lunch at Fort Mason, and stroll by the Ferry Building and the Bay Bridge. With a cool breeze and the most beautiful blue skies with puffs of white clouds, the City by the Bay couldn’t have been any more perfect on this weekend. Continue reading A Weekend in San Francisco.
