“A cup of tea would restore my normality.” by
Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Screenplay, these words have more meaning now than they ever did before. When all around normalcy seems so far, a warm cup of tea has never felt more normal. It’s a simple cup really, nothing fancy – just a bag of black tea with a splash of milk and a drizzle of honey. It’s the simple things that I took for granted, that now have more meaning.Tea has always been a social affair for me. I love making tea for friends, it gives me a chance to use one of my many teapots, take out my pretty plates, serve some decadent treats, and catch up with heartfelt conversation. Now, this simple soiree that I took for granted has found an even deeper meaning. Normality that I know we will have again. In the meantime let’s enjoy a cup of tea and appreciate the peace and quiet that comes with the slow down in our lives.
Today, I thought I would share with you my favorite spot where I enjoy my cup of tea. It’s in my front balcony which looks out onto the hills and down onto our road. Here is a video I took to show you all.
Occasionally I even get to see friends walk past my home and I get to wave a hi as they stroll by.
Have a good week everyone. Stay safe and be healthy and lets hunker down for another week of Shelter in Place. See you tomorrow with a simple recipe made with pantry staples.
