The occasion

This outstanding broccoli cheddar quiche was brought by Angeles to our Galentine’s lunch last week. When I say this was one outstanding quiche – I mean the quiche was fluffy and light and perfectly delicious. I immediately asked for the recipe and made it the next day!

A formula that works with any add-ins

The recipe is from Sally’s Baking Recipes. Sally describes this recipe as a a base quiche formula with any add-ins you want. Just 2-cups. No more and no less! For this perfect quiche formula to work, it has to be just 2 cups of add-ins plus 1 cup of any cheese of your choice. In this case it was 2-cups of broccoli and onions plus 1-cup of cheddar cheese

What’s the formula?

For the perfect quiche Sally has the formula down pact! Here it is…

For the quiche base:
4 eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup any cheese of your choice – feta, cheddar, gruyere, gouda
2 cups of add ins – lightly sauted broccoli and onions or spinach, or any other add-ins you prefer. For more add-in ideas take a look at Sally’s link Sally’s Baking Recipes for Perfect Quiche.
Salt and pepper
Pie crust

Easy recipe but it does take time to bake

The formula as you can see is easy however the quiche does take time to cook – 45-50 minutes. So go ahead and mix everything and bake and then sit back and relax. In about an hour you will have a delicious quiche ready for the table.
