For her birthday Rani wanted to hang out with her friends in our garden. The timing was perfect, as I had just attended a book-signing event from authors Stefani Bittner & Alethea Harampolis on their new book Harvest.  I was eager to try something from the book and Rani’s birthday picnic became the perfect opportunity to make a goat cheese recipe with edible flowers and herbs for this soiree.

This sweet treat allows one to enjoy the fresh berry fruit flavor while at the same time elevating it into a dessert worthy of a special dinner.  You only need 3 ingredients – berries, honey, and cream – that’s it. From these three pure all-natural ingredients you get a dessert that looks and tastes amazing.

Rajma. North Indian Spiced Kidney Beans

Rajma is a North Indian kidney-bean curry that is usually eaten with white rice. Rajma is one of those dishes I make when I’ve run out of fresh veggies or don’t feel like cutting a bunch of veggies. It’s quick and easy yet nutritious and delicious all at the same time. If you are like me and always have a few non-perishable goods on hand like a selection of canned beans and tomato sauce, rajma will become one of those go-to meals to make in an instant.

Tiramisu

A dessert in 15 minutes?  I couldn’t believe how fast we made this classic Italian dessert- tiramisu. This tiramisu recipe is from our friends Dave and Rose’s cooking lesson in Tuscany, Italy last Fall. The recipe surprised me with how easy it was to make a delicious and decadent classic Italian dessert.
