Holiday Lunch with Devi, Del & Rose 2019

Happy Saturday!

Looking forward to a fun weekend? How was your week?  This past week has been rather cloudy and dreary around here, no matter though because I got to spend a fun afternoon earlier this week at a gift exchange party, and a cheerful afternoon yesterday with my good friends Devi, Del and Rose. What a fun afternoon seeing my dear friends turned out to be! Continue reading Holiday Lunch with Devi, Del & Rose 2019

Moroccan Tajine

I’ve always loved exotic hand-painted pottery from all parts of the world. There is something organic and artistic about pottery serving pieces that gets me excited every time I see them. They make all my food look beautiful and appetizing. My fetish for handmade pottery is how I came across this beautiful Moroccan pottery called tajine. Continue reading Moroccan Tajine

Upma, Raita and Soup. Lunch with a Friend

Happy Tuesday!

It’s looking like fall around here; temperatures are cooler, leaves are falling, and it’s getting darker earlier in the evenings.  This type of weather always gets me in a contemplative mood.  It’s times like these when allthough I want to socialize and meet friends, I really want to keep it low-key – you know what I mean?  This is the mood I was in when I had a friend over for a simple fall lunch one Friday afternoon recently.  Not two friends, not three, but just one.  It’s nice once in a while to have a quiet lunch with a friend, it gives us a chance to catch up one/one with each other and relax over comfort food and conversation. Picnic in the Vineyard at Clos LaChance Winery in Morgan Hill, California

The scene was set for a beautiful day in the vineyards.  Gorgeous weather with temperatures in the pleasant 70s, sunny with a gentle breeze, a winery with great wine, and friends who were all free to go together for a picnic in the vineyard.  This was my perfect afternoon at Clos LaChance Winery in Morgan Hill in the South Bay. Father’s Day Celebration with an Indian Vegetarian Dinner

Happy Tuesday!
I hope your week started off great!

How was your weekend and Father’s Day? I hope you got to celebrate and appreciate all the Dad’s in your family.  We had a wonderful Father’s Day, at least that’s what Hitesh (Father to my three girls) conveyed to me at the end of the day on Sunday.  Hitesh got to do his chillin and relaxing during the day. I made a veggie omelette for him for brunch with savory scones and fresh fruit. After that we planted some veggie seedlings that I picked up from my friend Veena. Then he and the twins went to downtown Los Gatos to take a stroll while I stayed home to get dinner ready for our Father’s Day dinner gathering with my cousins and their families.
