Puff Pastry Bell Pepper Quiche for a New Year”s Eve Dinner at Swati and Tarak’s 2018

Quiche is synonymous for many with a good crust and a great egg filling.  For me however quiche will always be about the veggies that go in it, because without a great tasting veggie mix, that quiche can taste rather boring in my opinion. When I make quiche I make sure my veggie mix is packed with lots of veggies, lots of flavor, and lots of good quality cheese. These are to me what make any quiche taste outstanding. Shishito peppers are so pupular these days that restaurants around town serve blistered peppers as appetizers.  Continue reading Blistered Shishito Peppers with Mustard Seeds and Turmeric

Parmesan Roasted Cauliflower

Rather than have the family binge on some cookies and crackers on a Sunday afternoon I made this roasted cauliflower dish for a late afternoon snack which the entire family devoured 😋. I picked up this recipe watching an old episode of Ina Garten’s show Barefoot Contessa on Food Network channel. The episode was all about vegetable side dishes, and this cauliflower dish caught my attention because it was so easy to make and looked scrumptious. It involves just roasting cauliflower and then melting Parmesan cheese over the florets. How easy is that? The best part of this cauliflower dish is how awesome it tastes!!
